Ministry of Commerce hosts the 11th Thailand International Logistics Fair or TILOG 2014 gathering over 148 well-known local and international companies under one roof. Participants will have an opportunity to witness the showcases of logistics products, services, and innovations from over 352 booths. The Ministry aims to support trade negotiations, forming business alliances and to motivate Thai entrepreneurs in their logistics capability development for AEC in 2015. This event is expected to attract local and international 10,000 participants or more, generating revenue of over 4,000 Million Baht.
Mrs.Nntawan Sakuntanaga, Director-General of the Department of international Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce stated that Logistics process is considered as a key factor in driving international trade opportunities, especially in export sector, which is Thailand’s major revenue, accounting for 60 percent of GDP. This year, the Ministry has planned to accelerate the expansion of Thailand’s exports and put emphasis on cross-border trade with neighboring countries. As a result of ASEAN Economic Community in 2015 together with ASEAN+3 and ASEAN+6 cooperation, logistics capability development strategy for Thai entrepreneurs has to be accelerated to support a targeted international trade increased by 3.5 percent.
“The 11th Thailand International Logistics Fair is considered as one of the important guidelines to support, raise, and develop logistics capabilities for Thai entrepreneurs. TILOG 2014 is aimed to be the floor of opportunities for Thai logistics operators to showcase their efficient products, services, and innovations. These will emphasize Thailand’s capabilities and readiness in becoming a regional logistics hub. This event is also expected to be a leading networking platform for all logistics sectors locally and internationally. It is also a place where trade entrepreneurs can find the right logistics products and services as well as knowledge and insights to maximize their capabilities and efficiency within business operations, to reduce operating costs, and to gain competitive advantages in order to be ready for AEC 2015.” said Mrs.Nuntawan Sakuntanaga.
Director-General of the Department of international Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, stated that The 11th Thailand International Logistics Fair or TILOG 2014 is organized under ASEAN+6 Logistics Connectivity Concept, which will be held on 24-27 September 2014 from 10:00-18:00 at Building 101-102, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna. There will be the showcase of products and services from over 148 participating local and international exhibitors in 352 booths with an exhibiting area of 9,600 square meters.
TILOG 2014 will be accompanied by a wide range of exhibitors covering Logistics Services Providers, Software producers, IT service providers, manufacturers of Logistics Systems, Equipment, and Vehicles as well as Facilities providers for entrepreneurs in logistics industry e.g. airports, industrial estates, and ports, and so on. Moreover, at TILOG 2014, there will be a lot of activities offering logistics related information, knowledge and trends. These include an exhibition of innovative vehicle designs that help reduce energy consumption and are environmentally friendly, a presentation of network and transport links between ASEAN + 6 countries, and an exhibition which showcases achievements of the 2014 Logistics Management Award (ELMA) Winners. There will also be a symposium discussing the topic of ASEAN Logistics Connectivity together with the 2014 Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum or APTFF. A number of seminars covering more than 20 topics will also be held by the council of the federation and associations in order to provide knowledge base about logistics industry. Attendees who are interested in entering logistics industry can also participate in the Job & Opportunity activity to find their desired development programs or suitable roles.

We expect to attract local and international 10,000 participants or more; including exporters, importers, local and international entrepreneurs, as well as logistics service providers. It is also expected to generate revenue of over 4,000 Million Baht in one year.” said Mrs. Nuntawan.
